About my visit in 2014-jul:
When we visited Chongqing in July 2014, the primary goal was to take a cruise down the Yangtze River to see the massive Three Gorges Dam in the Hubei Province. I must admit, however, that this river cruise turned out to be my worst experience in China—ever.
It started with a grueling four-hour bus ride before we even reached the vessel. The most impressive thing at the docks was the sheer number of stairs leading down to the water. The boat itself was another story; it was worn out, dirty, and frankly miserable. Our cabin was downright disgusting—stiflingly hot and humid, with a carpet that literally squelched underfoot. The bedding was damp to the touch. In fact, everything was damp.
I ended up spending most of the night out on the deck, which wasn't much better—just a grime-covered floor and a few old plastic chairs. To this day, I still don't know where we managed to buy those tickets...?

About this photoalbum
In February 2026, I reorganized my entire collection of photos from my travels in China spanning 2009 to 2025. Previously, the images were sorted by year, with locations nested under each trip. However, analytics show that more than 80% of my visitors come from China and Singapore. For them —and hopefully for many others— I believe this new structure is much more intuitive. The photos are now organized by location, with provinces and major cities as the primary categories. Under each destination, you will find subfolders for the specific years and months of my visits.
