About my visit in 2025-sep:
In 2025, I returned to Chengdu for the first time since December 2010. Back then, the city didn't even have a metro system; the very first line opened exactly in December 2010. Today, in 2025, the system has exploded to 14 lines and nearly 350 stations (with more constantly under construction).
I chose to stay at the same hotel as in 2010—the Celebrity Ruicheng Hotel. I must admit, it had become somewhat worn since my last visit—but then again, so have I! Nevertheless, I was upgraded to a large room, I believe it was 2808. The Ruicheng is also one of those rare hotels where smoking is still permitted... :-)

About this photoalbum
In February 2026, I reorganized my entire collection of photos from my travels in China spanning 2009 to 2025. Previously, the images were sorted by year, with locations nested under each trip.However, analytics show that more than 80% of my visitors come from China and Singapore. For them —and hopefully for many others— I believe this new structure is much more intuitive. The photos are now organized by location, with provinces and major cities as the primary categories. Under each destination, you will find subfolders for the specific years and months of my visits.
