About my visit in 2012-oct:
Qu and I returned to China in October 2012 to attend the wedding of her daughter, Yangzi, and her fiancé, Xiaohu. Since the groom was originally from Zhidan, the wedding was held there.
Part of the ceremony took place in a city parking lot, where the wedding couple and their parents—including myself and my older sister, Hanne—sat in a formal row during the traditional rituals. We toasted with Maotai, and fireworks were set off to ward off evil spirits. That evening, we attended a grand dinner with approximately 500 guests. I had the honor of walking the bride into the celebration and giving a speech to the newlyweds, which Qu translated into Chinese. Naturally, I made sure to reference the revolutionary and historical significance of Zhidan and Bao'an in my speech.
We also visited the Baoan Revolutionary Site where the Communist Party ended their famours Long March in 1935.

About this photoalbum
In February 2026, I reorganized my entire collection of photos from my travels in China spanning 2009 to 2025. Previously, the images were sorted by year, with locations nested under each trip.However, analytics show that more than 80% of my visitors come from China and Singapore.
